Pokémon pixel art - the great project
Pokémon were the first pixel art I ever loved. Tiny sprites on a tiny screen, carefully curated so that every one of them had a personality. Those original sprites are exactly the kind of art that was made for beads: a small grid, a limited palette, bold outlines. I wanted to catch them all. Yeah. But to make every single one of them is a tedious, intimidating project.
This post is a pile of resources for when the time comes.

Full cross-stitch pattern of all 151 1st gen Pokemon, in the visual of generation 2 sprites. Very intimidating but also very worth it.
